I have researched Japanese social security and taxation frameworks for many years and have joined discussion groups on these matter set in several governmental institutions as an expert. Based on my experiences and standpoints, let me put a focus on the importance of MY NUMBER and the Commission’s commitments.

MY NUMBER is utilized as an important basis to promote policies related to social security, taxation, and disaster management. I am sure that MY NUMBER will become a social infrastructure prevailing citizen’s life. Utilization of personal information including MY NUMBER is essential to make a fairer and more secure social framework, in the changing Japanese society. For instance, Japanese government has addressed social security and tax system reforms along with the advancement of the aging society.

Thus, the Commission’s commitments are highly important to achieve smooth introduction of MY NUMBER and ensure the proper handling of personal information including MY NUMBER.

Based on my experiences and views, I am willing to contribute to appropriate operation of the PPC and proper handling of personal information as well as MY NUMBER.
