Commissioner Shuhei Ohshima attended the 47th APPA Forum held in Australia on 10-11 July, 2017

The PPC has sent its delegates to this forum, where Commissioner Ohshima gave a statement on the full-enforcement of the Act on Protection of Personal Information and PPC’s commitment to expanding cooperation with counterparts in other countries as a result of which the PPC boosted its presence in the international data protection framework.

This forum was organized by 17 data protection authorities (DPAs) participating from 11 countries and regions, and discussed issues related to each country’s systemic reform in personal information protection, responses made to data breach incidents etc..
