Commissioner Haruhi Kumazawa attended the 50th APPA Forum held in New Zealand on 3-4 December, 2018.

The PPC has sent its delegates led by Commissioner Haruhi Kumazawa to this Forum.

At the Forum, it was decided that the PPC would host the next 51st Forum which will take place on 29-30 May, 2019 in Tokyo. Also, a PPC Secretariat staff gave a presentation on mutual adequacy findings between Japan and the EU, and promotion of the APEC CBPR system.

This Forum was attended by 16 data protection authorities (DPAs) from 10 countries and regions, and they discussed recent developments related to the amendment of personal information protection law, enforcement, responses made to data breach incidents etc.
