Commissioner Haruhi Kumazawa visited the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés « CNIL » in Paris, and had an exchange of views with Chairman of the CNIL Isabelle FALQUE-PIERROTIN on Jan 31, 2017.
The Commissioner provided an explanation of the PPC’s recent activities and the establishment of cabinet order, commission rules, etc. aimed at fully implementing the Amended Act on the Protection of Personal Information, while the Chairman expounded part of the CNIL’s efforts to establish codes of conduct to protect personal information in cooperation with relevant industries. Both parties have agreed to continue exchanging information from now and forward.
